2022 Updates

I’ve been on twitter for something like 9 years at twitter.com/prof_carrington. In the likelihood the platform goes down with its acquisition by Apartheid Clyde, find me on Facebook + my dog at Instagram + professional profile on LinkedIn.

There’s a new tab with the important collaboration my colleagues at UC Riverside and Stanford: Unarchiving Blackness. Stay tuned there to see what work we are able to accomplish this year.

On November 14, 2022 the 48,000 academic workers represented by UAW 5810, UAW 2865, and SRC-UAW went on indefinite strike to secure living wage, job security, essential support, and fair working conditions, including an end to unfair labor practices in the University of California system. This is the largest academic labor action of my lifetime, and the second most important to me since the 2005-2006 strike by GSOC UAW 2110, in which I participated as a grad student and employee at NYU.

As always, here are some birds. And a bobcat! And a Western Whiptail (lizard)! And me.
